Sai Kung Country Park

Hiking in Sai Kung Country Park: it's bloody hot.

Shek O beach life

A trip to Shek O beach - beach life on Hong Kong is beautiful, but - like the rest of the country - a crowded experience during holidays.

Sai Kung Country Park

A tiny temple in tiny Tap Mun Island - this place is full of dried fish, cows (?!?) and Chinese hikers wearing jeans in the blazing heat. Oddly enough though, its quite pleasent. More spectacular is the journey back to civilisation on a chugging ferry through a narrow, hilly channel, watching the sun set.

Mid-Autumn Festival

Mid-Autumn Festival - no idea what is going on... a strange dragon made out of incense sticks runs around the streets and everyone hangs paper lanterns in every available space. What's more Jake seem to have aquired a strange green headdress (above)

First Week in HK

For those who are interested and those who don't really care, here are some photos of HK as it appears to two rather bemused but happy new arrivals. No time for much tourist wonderings yet as we've been flat hunting in 98% humidity - however, in between showers and airconditioned malls, we have been shopping, eating, drinking and generally having fun exploring a new city and a new life.
